Vincent Rickards left school at sixteen and trained as an apprentice cabinet maker with a local furniture maker, W.J.White of Swindon. A very traditional workshop making high quality hand made furniture.
The company was slowly developing business with large interior designers in London working for the fast emerging Arab market and large contracts to fit out Middle Eastern palaces began to change the old workshop environment

An opportunity arose two years after coming out of his apprenticeship to start up a business. Jewellery cases and humidors made as samples created interest with several prestigious London retailers and interior designers. These smaller pieces led to larger orders ironically as the finishing touches to Middle Eastern Palaces.

A chance meeting with the world renowned gun makers Holland & Holland at their Bruton Street showrooms led to commissions for pistol cases and then larger commissions for gun cabinets to house their superb commemorative sets including the Broadlands Set and the American Civil War Set.

Private collectors soon became aware of the work and commissions followed, designing and producing gun cases, gun cabinets and display tables to house some of the finest shotguns and rifles being made today.

Over the last several years our work has varied from exquisite jewellery cases to designing, working on and project managing a large furniture contract for an American client.
